Evangelion 1.111 + 2.222 = A Loving Touch

I have quite honestly fallen behind my days of past of anime filled watching days. However, I just recently watched both the "remake" of a four part movie series tell of Evangelion and it had magically sparked the inner love of anime once again... and as I am typing this, gathering quite a large collection of anime together.

Eva 1 was a bit more of true to the series vs Eva 2 in which was just plain awesome and showed off some wonderful "edits" and badass fight scenes. Plus, Eva 2 also allowed me to appreciate Shinji in a different light amongst other characters. Eva 1 was good - however, Eva 2 kicks the remake into turbo gear and had me wanting more. The timing of each scene and overall pace of the movies so far is just perfect.

The movie was beautiful to watch and character development was done masterfully... The only negative I have regarding this "re-visioning" (which I prefer vs...) of the original is having to wait for the last two movies to be released for me to consume. All in all, I give this some way serious kudos and thanks for reminding me how much I enjoy a good animated storytelling. ^_-

POGOPLUGpremium - STREAMING AWESOMENESS?!?

Two Thumbs Down...
So, I moved my Apple TV2 into the main bedroom and decided to just stream to my Xbox 360. However, due to some "issues" the software I tried out was lacking and only opted to play only a select few videos from my MacBook Pro. I did not want to reformat or do anything to alter the quality of my videos or even do anything in general. Just "plug and play." The videos I stream are 720p or better.

I saw POGOPLUGpremium and figured to give it a shot... and this was the f'n outstanding results:

Sweet ass sweet streaming right? Thank you POGOPLUG!

Needless to say I bought another Apple TV2. Yea yea... I know Apple TV2 can only do 720p. However, it just simply works and does what I need it to do. I'm a busy guy and I want my entire digital media collection to work when I want it to with little to no effort.

Marvel vs Capcom 3 Tournament

Went to a local Marvel vs Capcom 3 tournament @ Rainy Day Anime in Colorado Springs not too long ago. I figured I would head out there for fun since I haven't "competed" in much of anything in a long time. The show up for this tournament was rather impressive for a small store. Met a few good natured people too and had some fun playing. I was playing Akuma, Sentinel and Wolverine. I was knocked out in the second bracket, but I wasn't expecting to win considering I don't play often enough. When I lost though it was by a silly mistake thinking I could cancel Super Skrulls hyper combo with a blast... Meh. :P

I just wanted to get the old school feeling of gaming "shit talk" and competitiveness amongst some die hard gamers...
